Pool Rules

  1. Fulton County Pool rules are posted at the pool and must be obeyed. The Lifeguard staff, in full cooperation with the Board of Directors, will strictly enforce posted rules of safety and conduct. Failure to adhere to the rules may result in expulsion from the pool area for a prescribed time. In the case of a child, parents will be notified in writing. A swimmer who frequently violates the rules may be asked to sit out an entire season and have his pool membership revoked. Discipline and safety are the responsibility of the members of the Haynes Landing Homeowners Association of Haynes Landing, and any outside pool members.
  2. Only members in good standing and their guests may use the recreational facilities. Residents of Haynes Landing who are not members of the Homeowners Association cannot be admitted as guests. Guests are allowed only with a member present. Excessive visits by any one guest may cause the privileges of those guests to be revoked. Lifeguards may ask to verify your membership at any time. IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. POOL TAGS WILL BE SUPPLIED TO ALL STANDING MEMBERS. HAVE YOUR POOL TAGS ANYTIME YOU VISIT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR POOL TAG, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE, EVEN IF YOU ARE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING.
  3. It is understood that any member causing property damage will be held financially responsible. Members will also be responsible for any damage done by their guests or members of their household.
  4. Children five and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Someone who is at least 16 years of age much accompany children between the ages of 6-9. Children 9 years of age and younger who are not properly supervised by an adult will be asked to leave the pool. The baby pool is ONLY for children 5 and under. A parent or guardian must supervise children in the baby pool.
  5. The BREAK period is for adult swimming only (18 years of age or older only). Only children 5 years and under may accompany an adult in the water during break. Children 6-17 will be asked to exit the pool.
  6. Profanity is not permitted and violators will be asked to leave.
  7. Glass or breakable containers are prohibited in the pool area. Eating is permitted on the wood deck and under the covered picnic area only. Please clean up immediately after eating. Trash receptacles are provided for your convenience. Please use them and help keep your pool area clean.
  8. Please do not deposit belongings under the covered picnic area of the Clubhouse. That area is for eating only.
  9. Proper swim attire is required at all times. Proper attire is defined as swimsuits, no “cutoffs” or the like.
  10. People with communicable diseases, open sores, eye infections, etc. are restricted from using the pool.
  11. Children who are not potty trained must wear cloth diapers, rubber or plastic pants, and tight-fitting bathing suits in the pool. NO DISPOSABLE DIAPERS ALLOWED.
  12. Gum and chewing tobacco are prohibited in the pool area. No smoking of any type is allowed in the pool area.
  13. Public drunkenness will not be permitted. Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave the area.
  14. For your safety, no running, pushing, or rough play is permitted.
  15. Ball playing is permitted at the discretion of the lifeguards.
  16. No breakable toys or sharp objects permitted
  17. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. The area beneath the diving board must be clear before diving. No double bouncing off the board allowed. Dive only from front of board. No handstand dives are permitted. After entering the water, the diver must exit the deep water immediately by way of ladders or by swimming to the shallow end of pool. No diving while wearing flotation devices, eye goggles or other items which may injure the diver.
  18. While others are diving off the board, swimming is permitted in the deep end only between the rope and the line painted on the pool deck indicating 5 feet from the rope. No other swimming is allowed in the deep end while diving off the board is going on.
  19. No flips or jumping backwards from sides of pool. Diving is restricted to designated area.
  20. Large floats are allowed only at the discretion of the lifeguard. No truck inner tubes or those with extended valves are allowed at any time. No floats allowed in the deep end beyond the marker , unless approved by the lifeguard.
  21. Non-swimmers may use water wings or flotation devices with direct parental supervision only.
  22. No hairpins or other metal objects are permitted in the pool at any time.
  23. No bicycles, tricycles, skates, skateboards, etc., are allowed inside the pool area. A bicycle rack is provided for your convenience.


POOL PARTIES

The pool may be reserved for private parties subject to the following guidelines:

  • Parties must be scheduled with the clubhouse director at least two (2) weeks in advance.
  • Submit in writing:(form available from pool director)
  1. The time and date of the party
  2. The number of people scheduled to attend, with general age of guests.
  3. Special admission instructions.
  4. Whether alcoholic beverages will be served.
  • The sponsoring Haynes Landing member must be in attendance for the duration of the party.
  • Fulton County regulations state that one lifeguard is on duty for every 25 people in attendance, whether swimming or not. One additional lifeguard will be required for any party involving alcohol. Customer agrees to provide one adult chaperone for each ten people at a teenage or college age party.
  • A deposit will be required for all reservations, The deposit fee will be refunded provided the pool area is cleaned up and undamaged prior to the time the pool opens the following day.
  • The member is responsible for the actual expenses charged by the pool management company for lifeguards.
